I will becoming into a couple of dollars soon, and i'm looking to invest in a homebase business, reason being i need a home and the feeling of never being without and not having to answer to anyone but myself.

My first question would be do you have any business experience. I ask because just to say I want to run a business is one thing and to actually do it is something else.

So I you do have the business experience and savvy and a couple of thousands to invest then check out and research the various types of franchises out there and see which one suits you. Entrepreneur magazine and others of this type should lead you in the right direction.

If you do not have "running a business" experience then let me recommend what a lot experts have been saying. Get into Network Marketing. The reasons being are:

1- The Training - The good companies work with organization who will help you develop you knowledge in all aspects of your business and you before the product or service. This means time and energy will be invested on developing you and a person and business-owner vs pushing you to move products. Not to say that you shouldn't be moving products, that's why you're in business.

2- Developing a Network - In order to have a strong and prosperous business you need repeat business. These organizations of business owners will help you in the developing strong networks so that your business keeps moving forward.

3- Global Opportunities - No more do you have to limit your self to just you neighborhood with the advent of the Internet you now have access to a global marketplace. The larger companies and organizations can help you in expanding you business into the international arena if the opportunity arises for you.

4- Low Risk - Most companies have a low start-up investment
which means that you can work it on a part-time level until you are making enough to go full-time. So you don't have to quit your job or quit school. Also the highly reputable ones have a money-back guarantee.
